Best time of year to visit
The Red Sea has comparatively warm water, which makes it suitable for diving holidays all year round. However, winter months get chillier and you might need a full five millimeter wetsuit to explore the waters. Nonetheless, diving during winter is quieter, more relaxed and peaceful.
In spring and summer, the Red Sea waters are at their warmest and there is an increased underwater mammal and fish activity. This makes these months the busiest in the year. May, June, September and October give good value for money because it is quieter than the summer and still warm.
